
Although Ba Cissoko's compositions have their roots in Africa they are influenced by many different styles. The lyrics of the songs written in malinké, soussou and peul but also in french talk about the everyday life of the african youth. Natural born Griots and proprietors of the mandinka culture - Ba Cissoko are worthy represents of the young music scene of Guinea.
First of all, Ba Cissoko himself with his crystal-clear kora. At his side, Sekou Kouyate lures out hendrix-like riffs from the thousand years old mandinka harp. Kourou Kouyaté at the boulon and the percussion of Ibrahim Bah complete the band .
